JBT Full Form is Junior Basic Training. In different states it is also known as D.EL.ED (Diploma in Elementary Education), ETT (Early Teacher Training), D.ED (Diploma in Education), DIET Course. This Course is 2 year’s Diploma Prog conducted by SCERT Board under DIET (District Institute of Education and Training) Branch with the respective board on state Level. Say in Delhi Student will get Delhi Board Diploma, in Haryana its Bhiwani Board, in Jammu its Jammu Board & in Gwalior its MP Board.
In Haryana, Jammu, Gwalior there is no issue of Merit list of Cut off. Students having 50% marks can get the admission in any of these State’s. Counselling process take place in 3 Phases. 1st round have 85% reserved seats for state domicile students and 15% for other state students. But in other 2 rounds remaining reserved seat converted to all students for any state. Students will get allotment letter after confirmation of admission from SCERT Board Diet.

JBT Course is Recognized by SCERT Board (District Institute of Education and Training Branch). In Delhi its known as DIET course as well but DIET only conduct admission process and training process. Classes, Exams & Certification will be conducted by the state Board only. Minimum Eligibility Criteria is 50% in senior secondary examination from any recognized board.5% Relaxation is allowed to Reserved Category students on Cut off list. For an example say if Delhi DIET Cut off reaches to approx 90% in 12th every year then Reserved Category students can get admission on 85% in their 12th examination.

2nd Year (SIP-II) | 7 weeks (Phase I) At start of 2nd Year Primary In Govt. schools
